Make Your Own Survival Food Bars:


I have used this recipe for the last 10 years and it always turns out well.

You will need:
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp water
3 cups oatmeal
2 1/2 cups powdered milk
1 cup white sugar
3 oz. of any citrus flavored gelatin

Mix honey and water and bring to a boil.
In another bowl mix all dry ingredients (except gelatin)
Mix gelatin with honey and water to dissolve.
Add small water of water as you blend all ingredient together until slightly moist.
Pack into baking pan, dry in oven on low temp.

When done cut into 2 bars and wrap in tin foil.
Each bar roughly 1000 calories/1 day
They store well for the long term
and can be eaten as is or cooked down in about a cup of water.
